Study Tours, CIEE, Hyderabad

CIEE hosts and coordinates academic programs in India for undergraduate students from various universities in the US and is based at the University of Hyderabad (www.ciee.org). Jackfruit designs customized itineraries and lectures on educational tours which allow students to learn about a variety of topics including Mahayana Buddhism in central India, medieval urbanism and religiosities, the politics of alternative tourism, the landscape history of south Karnataka and temple cultures of Tamil Nadu. Lectures and reading material are oriented towards third or fourth year college students.
